In the Pursuit of Doctoral Excellence
We’re offering an opportunity for you to shine! Show off your doctoral presentation skills at our
Doctoral Leadership Conference(DLC) in Jackson, Mississippi on June 22-25, 2023.
Presentations should be designed to share best practices and innovative teaching techniques to
improve and become excellent in the doctoral community. This Doctoral Leadership Conference
strives to create paths of excellence across academia in an array of disciplines in the field of
business, education, and more that allows student success in learning research and career
preparation. Presentations can be general, applying to any educational discipline (Leadership,
Health Administration, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Accounting, Technology, Ethics, etc.). It
can also be specific or be designed to share best practices related to experiential learning, both
inside and outside the classroom. The intended audience for this premier event will be business
leaders, scholars, professionals, faculty, administrators, undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral
students throughout the United States.
Example Topics:
• Best practices for using Excel or PowerPoint in the Classroom (general).
• Teaching Accounting to Non-Accounting Students (specific discipline).
• Workshop Session Topics: Celebrate Excellence. You've Earned It!
• Using outside experiences to prepare students for the workplace.
• Linking classroom activities with real-world experiences.
Presentations should be designed to last for forty-five minutes, which includes time for questions
and answers. Suggested presentation types:
• One-or two-person presentation
• Presentation with roundtables
• Panel Presentations (limit to three panel members and a moderator)
All proposals must include:
❖ Name of proposer(s)
❖ Title of the presentation
❖ Any Special Audio-visual needs. (Internet access may not be available in the
presentation room, so all resources needed for presentations should be available
on your flash drives.)
To be considered you must submit an Abstract of the Presentation (250 words).
Abstracts will be peer-reviewed and decisions for acceptance will be made on a rolling
basis. We prefer all submissions be made prior to March 1, 2023, to notify potential
conference attendees in a timely manner.
All proposals must be submitted electronically as email attachments in MS Word format
